Now you have successfully completed the NVQ level 2 Its time to move onto the Hairdressing NVQ level 3.

The Hair dressing Level 3 is a higher level qualification growing on the elementary hairdressing skills learned in Level 2. It is geared towards senior stylists and technicians, in addition to salon owners and managers who want to get accredited.

Entry Requirements
You must have an NVQ Level 2 qualification or equivalent. Have excellent practical level 2 skills and experience. Usually working at least one day a week is minimum requirement to be on a hairdressing NVQ course. 

How long is the course?
1 - 2 years

How are you assessed?
Assessment will be ongoing and it is mandatory for students to exhibit competency in a range of different tasks.  Vital skills will be assessed through portfolio and exam.

What happens when you finish the course?

You will be able to find employment as a Specialist hairstylist, be an consultant for manufacturers, become an NVQ assessor or a lecturer, specialist hair colourists/fashion cutters.

What else you should know
Candidates are assessed in a simulated environment or on practical on the job work.  Evidence must be shown in the form of portfolio.  Assessment will be ongoing and it is mandatory for students to exhibit competency in a range of different tasks.  Vital skills will be assessed through portfolio and exam.
